Forbidden (The Demon Trappers, #2)Forbidden by Jana Oliver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Riley Blackthorne is beginning to learn that there are worse things than death by demon. And love is just one of them…

Seventeen-year-old Riley has about had it up to here. After the devastating battle at the Tabernacle, trappers are dead and injured, her boyfriend Simon is gravely injured, and now her beloved late father’s been illegally poached from his grave by a very powerful necromancer. As if that’s not enough, there's Ori, one sizzling hot freelance demon hunter who’s made himself Riley’s unofficial body guard, and Beck, a super over-protective “friend” who acts more like a grouchy granddad. With all the hassles, Riley’s almost ready to leave Atlanta altogether.

But as Atlanta’s demon count increases, the Vatican finally sends its own Demon Hunters to take care of the city’s “little” problem, and pandemonium breaks loose. Only Riley knows that she might be the center of Hell’s attention: an extremely powerful Grade 5 demon is stalking her, and her luck can't last forever…

In the second book of the demon trappers series Riley life is going from bad to worse. Riley is facing more trouble and hard choices and emotional turmoil then she can handle.

The book continued were the last one finished i was please with the direction the book went in and i found that i began to like some characters more then others. Some characters are less involved in this book then the first one and other characters are more involved.

I enjoyed the action and drama of the whole book and spent a lot of time rereading over parts that i really liked. There was some really nice shocks that pleased me and had me reading on and enjoying the whole book and i felt that the author did a great job in making some characters be more involved and letting us see what they are like.

I only had one little thing that bugged me in the book and it was how fast Riley was to jump into something after simon went a little crazy and how she seemed to be so blinded by the need to find someone to love that she missed what was looking right at her. she seemed blind to what beck was saying but while it did bug me a little i saw that over that sometimes people make mistakes even when other people can see they are heading for a fall. (hide spoiler)]

The ending of the book left you on a high of oh my god why and did she really just do that and come on you cant end like this which makes for a great ending for me i love getting to the end of a book and having that deep need to read the next one and see how the whole story continues.

The book has a strong story line like the first one and had everything a book needs to keep its readers happy.
