blood hunter by C.N. Crawford review

Blood Hunter (The Vampire's Mage #3)Blood Hunter by C.N. Crawford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well, I can't believe I read book 2 and 3 in just a few hours today.

Book three was a little more on the wild side when it comes to the relationships and total craziness that seems to overtake book three at times but it was all pretty exciting and while sometimes a little over the top I still really liked the book. I felt like each book upped the ante for the last book one eased readers in book 2 opened you to more of the world and the character and book 3 lead you into crazy town. While sometimes it was a little much most of the time I thought it was brilliant lots going on never a chance to get bored it felt like I was flipping through the book but never wanting to reach the end.

While each of the characters are different and fun in their own right I think some of the things that make a character said out is their flaws and whole they overcome it and make themselves better so I'm excited to see what happened by the end of the series. I have to say so far I'm really pleased with the series and glad I stumbled onto them and gave them a read.

Witch hunter by C.N. Crawford review

Witch Hunter (The Vampire's Mage #2)Witch Hunter by C.N. Crawford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Read book one and moved right onto book two and I was not disappointed. Truth is a lot more of the back story was uncovered in this book some of the characters and their behavers made more sense than in the first book. I sometimes thought why is he doing this why does it matter and while reading through this book as the story progressed I found myself understanding more and more as to why the characters acted the way they did how their pasted had molded them into what I was seeing now. There was a lot of secrets and lies and so many twists and turns and I really enjoyed uncovering and following the storyline it was an exciting ride all the way through to the end it does make me think about what may lay ahead in book three and I will carry on reading happily to find out.

I also felt that the main character was just a little smarter than before when she was doing stupid things for no reason I was infuriated but she seems to be getting better which I like, made it easier to connect with her. She was determined to uncover her pasted and the stuff that was haunting her and while I'm unsure what that will mean for her as I carry on reading I am excited to find out. I think on of the main things I was sad about is the fact the author did not have more about Caine brother something in me really wants him to be more active in the books.

Overall the book was an easy and exciting read I had no problems zooming through its pages like a demon and it's always a clear sign of a book when you can get through it so fast without taking breaks or needing to go off and do something else. I do hope the next book is just as good or better than the last.

Magic hunter by C.N Crawford review

Magic Hunter: An Urban Fantasy Novel (The Vampire's Mage Series Book 1)Magic Hunter: An Urban Fantasy Novel by C.N. Crawford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read in a while I stumbled onto it while checking out amazon kindle store and after reading the book info and seeing the book cover I thought what the hell I'll give it a go and at 99p or something silly like that why not try it.

The first thing that jumped out at me was how easy the book was to read it had a nice way of keeping you interested throughout the book without stumbling over painful patches where nothing happened the book had great passing that had me reading without needed to pause of reread parts which is always great when starting a new series.

The storyline itself is interesting and fun I liked the way the book headed without just giving everything away all at once I felt like I was working for the picture the author was creating. I loved the fact that it was not totally over complicated to the point that I lost track of what was what.

The characters currently too early to say how I feel about the characters I enjoyed reading and following them I liked the fact Rosalind was not some simple-minded softie that needed the help of everyone but she did sometimes make me want to yell when she went in without thinking but I felt in a way its the mistakes and silly thing about characters that make them seem more real. Caine, i'm not sure if I love him or hate him at this point at times he makes me laugh and smile and other times I roll my eyes and want to slap him but that's the fun right overall a solid start to the series and I will happily continue to book two :)
