Synopsis
Two people couldn't be more opposite...

Kellen Peterson, the gorgeous star quarterback of the Griffin High football team, seems to have it all. Until the night of the Homecoming game, when Kellen gets tackled and suffers a traumatic brain injury - an injury that changes his life - including his ability to walk, talk and throw a football.

Ivy Ly is a senior and counting down the days until she can escape to college. Though her parents have big plans for her to be a doctor, Ivy is afraid to tell them she'd rather pursue music as a career.

Ivy's best friend, Mira, is obsessed with Kellen. When Ivy is asked to tutor the injured football player upon his return to school, she thinks it's the perfect opportunity for Mira to get to know him better - but sparks fly - in more ways than one...

My Review

Thank you to the author for sending me this book in exchange for a honest review.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Wow this book was so good, its my first book by Ms Hamilton and it certainly wont be my last.
I completely fell in love with the writing style and the characters. This book has two main characters with alternating POVs. Ivy Ly is a senior and really really smart, she is asked to tutor Kellen Peterson after a knock on the football field left him with a brain injury, while trying to get better from that Ivy is his tutor to help him with his classes and catch up. I loved the interactions with these two characters, throw in a best friend who is completely over the top and in love with kellen and it makes for some funny and awkward scenes,
It was really interesting to read all the stuff the author had in the book to do with TBI (traumatic brain injuries) and how kellen was able to recover, his hardships, his trials, and the triumphs. And having Ivy there to help him and tell him he can do it really was something special.  Ivy has very overbearing family, they only want her to succeed, they don’t want distractions, and that makes for a lot of stress with everything. Wont say anything else except that if you love contemporary romances then this is definitely for you.
Cant wait to see what this author writes next.
