This is a reread for me, but I never reviewed the book the first time—so I thought, why not go back and reread the series to see if I still feel the same about them? And I’m so glad I did.
This book is short—like, one-sitting, few-hours kind of short—but it packs a punch. It’s dark, full of spice, and has some really fun characters. I especially love how unapologetic Winnie is about how she feels and what she does.
I really feel for her because of her home life and everything she’s had to deal with, but even with all that going on, she’s just such fun. The story is told from multiple POVs, which I loved—it made the whole book feel bigger and more layered than you'd expect from a shorter book.
There’s definitely spice in this book (and it’s not shy about it), but what I appreciated is that there was still a clear storyline. The spice didn’t overshadow the plot—it felt well-balanced, and the story held its own.
It’s a dark, spicy Peter Pan retelling, and I am totally here for it. 😍
The ending does have a bit of a cliffhanger, but don’t stress—this is a completed series, so you can jump straight into the next one.
Would I recommend this book?
Every day of the week. I’d skywrite it. Such a fun read!
Would I reread it?
This is my second time reading it, so… absolutely.
How would I sum it up?
A quick, dark, and dirty read that hits all the right places. 😏
