Guest post for Adrianne Ambrose’s Fangs for Nothing

I always find it reasonably awkward to talk about myself, so by way of introduction I’m going to jump to the third person for a moment and post what Belle Bridge Books has listed on their website in the “about the author” section.

“Adrianne Ambrose comes from a family of antique dealers and professional knife sharpeners. Okay, now that’s out of the way and I can tell you more about my vampire comedy, Fangs for Nothing. Here’s what the book blurb has to say:

I’ve always wanted to meet a vampire. Not to stake some poor bloodsucker as he sleeps in his coffin or have some sexy vampiress bite me on the neck, but just to see a creature so rare and infamous. Well, maybe I should prioritize getting a girlfriend first, but a vampire sighting is pretty high up on the list. Trust me, a lot of kids my age dream about it. Like my two best friends, Rini and Xander. We spent half the summer searching the most notorious cities in the United States for the undead, but so far, no luck.

That’s why it came as a total shock to discover a living, breathing vampire in our hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. (Okay, so he’s more undead and not breathing, but you get the picture.) At first we were kind of excited, but then pretty freaked because it turns out our new fanged friend has a hold on the city's teenage population and a specific thirst for their blood. Which, in a word—bites.

Fangs is written from the male perspective, which I’ve been told is a nice change of pace for vampire books. There’s romance and adventure and teenage insecurities and vampires all running around the streets of Cleveland, Ohio. The story unfolds through the eyes of Herbert Lehmur, aka Sherbie, as he and his friends get sucked into the world of vampires.

Besides Fangs for Nothing, I’ve recently posted Confessions of a Virgin Sacrifice as a 99 cent ebook on all ereaders. It’s a fantasy parody with bronze brassieres, brooding barbarians, magic, monsters and mayhem.

I also have a few graphic novels coming out with Oni Press that I’m quite excited about, but unfortunately those won’t hit the shelves until 2012.
