Between the Sea and Sky
by Jaclyn Dolamore
For as long as Esmerine can remember, she has longed to join her older sister, Dosinia, as a siren--the highest calling a mermaid can have. When Dosinia runs away to the mainland, Esmerine is sent to retrieve her. Using magic to transform her tail into legs, she makes her way unsteadily to the capital city. There she comes upon a friend she hasn't seen since childhood--a dashing young man named Alandare, who belongs to a winged race of people. As Esmerine and Alandare band together to search for Dosinia, they rekindle a friendship . . . and ignite the emotions for a love so great, it cannot be bound by sea, land, or air.

    I dunno, lots of things I guess. The layout & background's really nice, and the reviews are really helpful. I like to know what people think about books before/after I read them so I don't feel like a weirdo for being the only one to dislike a book...And I like finding out about books that I wouldn't usually read :)

    What I like best about best books? Well I always love it when there's a good story behind a great book cover. And that the book is so complicated about the character's life's that you have absolutely no idea how the book's gonna end.

    Best Books is my favorite book page on facebook. It alerted me to the book world on facebook because I never thought about it until I came across the Young Adult Book Club website. After I realized the website hadn't been updated I searched for other book clubs in google and found the yabc fb page and the Best books page. Best books partially inspired me to create Mera's YA Book List. And Annmarie was amazing and helped me start up my fanbase in the beginning! Plus I love the reviews and giveaways! =) ~Mera

    Sounds like a great book. Mermaids are one of my favorite kinds of beings to read about though sadly there aren't as many as I would like. Would love to read it!
