I think I really needed this book after the last book I read tore my soul out. It was so nice to fall into a story that just wrapped me up and felt easy to read—something that hit all the right spots without too much drama or questionable choices.

The storyline in this book is pretty simple and easy to follow. Not a whole lot really happens—so if you’re looking for a deep, impactful plot, this might not be the one for you. But if you want something light and a little fluffy at times, this is definitely more your vibe. Don’t get me wrong, there is stuff happening, but nothing really gets resolved. It felt like some things were opened up and just... left open. But since it’s part of a series, I’m guessing those loose threads will get picked up later.

Honestly, I didn’t read this one for the story. I just needed a break from books that leave me broken-hearted and raging and this one thankfully left me feeling happy.

I debated whether to give it 3 or 4 stars, but I settled on 4. It was super easy to read, didn’t take long to finish, and had a good amount of spice without going over the top. The story kept me interested enough to avoid boredom. Would I read it again? Maybe. And the fact that I feel like picking up the next book makes me believe it was worth the 4 stars.
